Avery's Christening

Today we celebrated Avery's Christening.  She was certainly a little princess all dressed in a very cute white dress.  We chose to have her baptized by Pastor Brian Hiortdahl at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Chicago.  Pastor Brian married Todd and I, and baptized Nolan, so he holds a special place in our hearts.  We feel so blessed to have Mark and Cheryl, my brother and sister in-law as the Godparents!  The service was very nice, and the family enjoyed a brunch at Mrs. Murphy's Irish Bistro following the service.

Baby Hands

Avery has certainly found her hands over the past week.  She loves to look at them, and put them in her mouth. I love her little hands, they are small and just cute.  Those hands are special hands!  Today was the first time she was batting at her toys while laying under her play gym.  And she has a book that makes crinkly noise when touched, she grabbed hold and had it in her mouth.  I LOVE watching Miss Avery explore with her hands!

The Every Day Happenings

Nolan and Avery amaze me everyday!  I LOVE my children to pieces!  It has been so much fun lately to watch them both grow and do new things.

Avery now has found her hands, she looks at them, opening and closing her fingers.  She also has learned that her hands reach her mouth, and I think she thinks they taste pretty darn good!

And Nolan he just is really learning new things everyday.  He makes me laugh with all of his little sayings it is really quite cute!   His vocabulary seems to grow on a daily basis.  We went to the pool today, and he told me, "The pool makes me feel FUN!"  How can I not love this boy!

But he then amazed me by pulling out his letter book.  We have been working on his lower case letters, and his numbers.  Well, he got out the book on his own, and started writing his numbers and letters all by himself. I was in AWE!  My little guy is becoming quite smart.  (Okay maybe I am little biased!)  But I love to see him learning new things.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I spent the day with my two little sweethearts!  Nolan had a party at the Y this morning, then we came home and played Hi Ho Cherrio, and a catepillar game that he got for Valentine's Day.  Avery had a nice day hanging out with us.  And tonight I am hanging out with the hubby!

I had to have some fun today and take pictures of Avery in some cute outfits!

 I JUST LOVE HER SMILES!!!!

Birthday Parties are FUN!

Nolan had his friend Alex's 3rd Birthday Party today at Gymboree.  Nolan certainly had a wonderful time playing with the other children on the slides, with the balls, and just running around.  It was cute to see several 2-3 year olds all interacting and running around.  I love the fact that you can have a room with mats, a few slides, balls, some bubbles, add in the children with endless energy, and just sit back and watch the FUN unfold!

Nolan's Valentine's Day Party

Nolan had his Valentine's Day Party at school today.  We made Valentine's to pass out to his class, which he was very excited to share with the others.  He had a ton of fun decorating his bag to collect the Valentine's, playing with the other kids, making a necklace, and playing with the Octopus game.

Stringing a heart necklace is hard work.

Making his Valentine's Bag with his classmate Daniel.

Avery decided to meet her future teacher, Mrs. S!
