Rafting Down the Truckee River

Our last day of the trip, I cannot believe how fast this vacation has gone!  And how much fun we have all had!  It was wonderful to spend time with family, and enjoy the Tahoe Area. In the morning we visited the Lake Tahoe Beach, and played on the swings and in the water.

The ducks are certainly not afraid of the people.  They were swimming right up to everyone at the beach.

The group activity of the day was a float down the Truckee River, it was a 5 mile float.  We enjoyed the float, and Nolan enjoyed hanging out with all the girls!

Tahoe Beach Day

In the morning, Nolan and I took a walk down to town and enjoyed Lake Tahoe.  Nolan had a blast wading in the water (in his gym shoes--of course), throwing rocks, and chasing the ducks.  I think I have to do another post on the adventures of Nemo--since he seemed to join Nolan everyday throughout our trip. :)

In the afternoon, we joined the family and had a wonderful day at Meek's Bay.  We brought the raft, and we rented paddle boards and kayaks.  Everyone had so much fun playing in the water and in the sand!

Tahoe Day 5

I cannot believe our trip is already half over.  The time has gone so quickly.  It has been quite enjoyable spending time with family.  Nolan is truly having, "the time of his life!"

Today Todd and the guys went hiking and fishing at Eagle Lake!  They didn't catch many fish, but I think that the views were well worth the hike.

While Todd was fishing, Nolan and I had some more fun playing in the pool!  He is getting less scared of the water each time we get into it.

Tahoe Day 4- Squaw Valley

Today most of the gang biked to Squaw from Tahoe City.  Nolan, Todd, Grandma Patty, Jill and I all met them in Squaw Valley for lunch.  Squaw is beautiful this time of year, there is still snow up in the mountains and it is 80 degrees at the base.  We had a very nice lunch with the entire family.

Tahoe Day 3--Sand Harbor

Today Nolan and Todd went for a walk at Sand Harbor about 20 miles from Tahoe City.  Nolan has been an early riser on this trip, and so he and Daddy take daily adventures in the morning.  Nolan had a lot of fun playing in the sand, and the views from Sand Harbor are amazing.

The rest of the day Nolan and I spent relaxing, and had a little time at the pool.  Most of the gang went Rafting, I will have to try and locate some pictures to place on the blog.

Tahoe... The Adventure Continues

Monday we had a fun filled day in the sun.  The day started with playing in the pool at Tahoe Taverns.  Nolan is still a little afraid of the water but seemed to warm up to the idea as the morning continued.  He particularly enjoyed dumping water into buckets, and then dumping the buckets of water on his relatives.

In the afternoon, he played with his cousins.  He loved playing ball, frisbee, tennis, and just about anything else.  He also enjoys running around and making others chase him.  I know everyone is enjoying Nolan's silly personality.  And all his one or two word phrases.  The cousins favorite thing to do is to make Nolan giggle.
