Nolan's Big Boy Bedroom!

I am so excited about Nolan's Big Boy Room!  We chose a vintage airplane theme, and we bought him bunk beds.  We decided to skip the toddler bed, and go right to a big bed.  Nolan is super excited about his new room too!  Today, I finally got around to placing the bedding on the beds.  I am still in the process of decorating, but I wanted to share some pictures.  We have not yet moved Nolan into the new room, and it will be a gradual process.  He likes his crib, and doesn't try to climb out, so for now that just seems to work for us.

Gotta love the little man, telling me, "mommy this is a FORT!"

Take note of Nolan climbing through from the bed onto the desk!

Just relaxing!

Trick or Treating

Halloween is finally here, and the day Nolan has been waiting for has arrived.  TRICK OR TREATING!  He decided to dress as Thomas the Train, and he was ready to be off and go about the neighborhood.

Thomas the Train Pajamas!

Nolan received these adorable Thomas the Train PJ's from Grandma Nancy for Halloween!  And he was eager to try them on.  I think since he doesn't seem to want to be a dinosaur for Halloween, maybe tomorrow he will Trick or Treat as Thomas!

Palatine Park District Halloween 2010

We had an exceptionally FUN day today at the Park District's Halloween Party.  Nolan was lucky and both of his Grandma's came to celebrate, along with Grandpa Rich.  He played several carnival games, two of his favorites were Hockey, and Golf, along with all the other fun bean bag type games.  I had to giggle when he picked out a prize at each game, and he picked a lollipop every single time!  I guess we know he loves LOLLIPOPS!

I really liked the Hockey, I even went back to play this one again!
Basketball was lots of fun too!

And Golf, I am taking after my Daddy!

Halloween Preschool Fun 2010

Today, Nolan had his preschool Halloween Party at Holy Family, it was really a great little party.  All the children seemed to be so happy when the parents arrived to join in the festivities.  They played party games, and won prizes.  They did musical carpets, and played with the parachute.  At the end of the morning he told me, "school is so FUN!"  I am glad he loves to go to preschool!  He really seems to enjoy it, and I frequently hear about his teachers Mrs. G, and Mrs. S throughout his week.

The Start of Halloween Fun!

I love Fall, I enjoy the pretty colors of the changing leaves, and the fun that fall brings.  As a child I remember Halloween being so much fun!  And now that I have a child the holiday has become somewhat magical again! Seeing all the children dressed up in costumes, giggling, and just enjoying themselves!  And of course children enjoying all that CANDY!  What would Halloween be without the candy! :)

Nolan is going to be a dinosaur for Halloween, however even though he seems to like his costume, he just hasn't wanted to put it on for his friends or family.  I am hoping as the weekend progresses, we will actually get to see him in the COSTUME!  As it is super cute!   So for now he has been sporting a Halloween Skeleton sweatshirt.

We have had fun already with the Holiday festivities.  Nolan made numerous trips to the Pumpkin Patch, and we have taken in a few Halloween Parties.  Last weekend we took Nolan to the YMCA's Halloween Party.

And of course the Cupcake he WON!  This was the best treat of ALL!

Our Fun Craft for Halloween--Ghost Lollipops!

Nolan and I made some fun and super cute ghost lollipops for his preschool class!  He had a great time placing the stickers on the orange card, and wrapping the lollipop with kleenex to make the GHOST!  And he maybe enjoyed having a lollipop TOO! He is super excited to hand them out at preschool tomorrow!

My Growing Baby Belly

It has been a while since I have posted about my pregnancy!  Life has been busy taking care of a toddler, and I have to say that this pregnancy is going by fairly quickly--some days faster than others!  I am getting more and more excited to meet our little princess!  And I am counting down the last 5 weeks.  And I am realizing how much I still have to accomplish before my precious little girl arrives.  Nolan is becoming more excited about his baby sister, and I think he is going to make an excellent BIG BROTHER.
