They are SOOOO Cute!

Miss Avery was playing on the floor, and Nolan decided to join her.  He was being very sweet, telling her that he is her big brother, and telling her, "I Love You Avery!"  Just melts my heart!!!  He even gave her a kiss on the head---toooo cute!

Super Bowl

We had several of our friends over for a Super Bowl Party.  Nolan of course had a wonderful time playing with the other children.

Visit with our family from Saudi Arabia

Todd's cousin Muath and aunt Carole are visiting here from Saudi Arabia.  Muath is here to study an intensive English program at ITT for the next few months.  They came in just in time for the Chicago blizzard!  I am sure it was a shock to their system coming from a warm climate!

It was wonderful to visit with them this evening along with Grandpa and Grandma Maycunich, and I am so glad that Nolan and Avery got to see them again.  The last visit was this past summer in Lake Tahoe. I am looking forward to seeing them again next week. Here are a few pictures from the evening, unfortunately Nolan was being camera shy, but he definitely had FUN!

Chicago Snowstorm or "Snowmaggedon" of 2011

Yesterday afternoon, the snow started to fall at a rate of 1-3 inches per hour, and the wind picked up to 50+ MPH!  Everyone who was downtown did a mad dash to get home for the evening, including Todd and my Dad.  Trains were packed, and the roads a mess.  The commute home for most was challenging.  It continued to snow, and snow, and snow through the night. The craziest part was the thunder snow, I had never experienced that before.  Today there was no school all over Chicagoland!  The end result was 19 to 21 inches of snow based on where you lived in the Chicago area.  We received 19.5 inches of SNOW!  And now it is being followed by extremely COLD temperatures!

And well, Nolan thought this snow was just AMAZINGLY FUN! Oh, to be 2 years old again!

I think he would like a SNOW DAY everyday!!!

When Avery was born, I thought to myself--that looks like Nolan!  And I am still amazed at how much the two of my children look ALIKE!  They could be twins...other than being born 2 years apart.
