Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Nolan and Avery had a fun day.  We went to the Y to play, and we had lunch at Nolan's favorite, "Old McDonald!" We took a walk with Wrigley outside, since it was around 60 degrees. I treated myself to a shamrock shake, there is nothing that says St. Patty's like a Shamrock Shake!
I of course had both my little leprechauns dressed up for St. Patty's!

St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Cupcakes

I had found this cute idea on the Disney Family Fun Website for Rainbow Cupcakes.  Nolan loves CUPCAKES, so I thought this would be a fun project for us.  He had a great time with the mixer, and then he enjoyed putting the food coloring in each bowl, and pouring the batter in the cupcake holders.  But he would tell you the best part was eating his cupcake!

St. Patrick's Day Activity Fun

This morning we had some fun with finger paints.  With St. Patrick's Day around the corner, I thought it might be fun to have him create something in the spirit of the green holiday!  So we made a finger paint rainbow, which Nolan thoroughly enjoyed!

Avery's Christening

Today we celebrated Avery's Christening.  She was certainly a little princess all dressed in a very cute white dress.  We chose to have her baptized by Pastor Brian Hiortdahl at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Chicago.  Pastor Brian married Todd and I, and baptized Nolan, so he holds a special place in our hearts.  We feel so blessed to have Mark and Cheryl, my brother and sister in-law as the Godparents!  The service was very nice, and the family enjoyed a brunch at Mrs. Murphy's Irish Bistro following the service.
