Today most of the gang biked to Squaw from Tahoe City. Nolan, Todd, Grandma Patty, Jill and I all met them in Squaw Valley for lunch. Squaw is beautiful this time of year, there is still snow up in the mountains and it is 80 degrees at the base. We had a very nice lunch with the entire family.

Tahoe Day 3--Sand Harbor
Today Nolan and Todd went for a walk at Sand Harbor about 20 miles from Tahoe City. Nolan has been an early riser on this trip, and so he and Daddy take daily adventures in the morning. Nolan had a lot of fun playing in the sand, and the views from Sand Harbor are amazing.

The rest of the day Nolan and I spent relaxing, and had a little time at the pool. Most of the gang went Rafting, I will have to try and locate some pictures to place on the blog.

Tahoe... The Adventure Continues
Monday we had a fun filled day in the sun. The day started with playing in the pool at Tahoe Taverns. Nolan is still a little afraid of the water but seemed to warm up to the idea as the morning continued. He particularly enjoyed dumping water into buckets, and then dumping the buckets of water on his relatives.

In the afternoon, he played with his cousins. He loved playing ball, frisbee, tennis, and just about anything else. He also enjoys running around and making others chase him. I know everyone is enjoying Nolan's silly personality. And all his one or two word phrases. The cousins favorite thing to do is to make Nolan giggle.

Tahoe Family Reunion 2010 "The Beginning"
On Sunday, we arrived in Tahoe for our family reunion. Nolan enjoyed most of the 4.5 hour plane flight, although 2.5 hours in, he was asking to "Go Outside." Which it is a little challenging explaining to a 2 year old that we are 30,000 feet in the air and cannot go outside. His favorite part was waiting to board the airplane, getting to see all the "Big Airplanes," that were gated in the American terminal.
Once we arrived we were greeted by Todd's cousins and the fun began. Nolan took an instant liking to all the "kids," as he calls them, but really they are between 13 and 24ish...so he has been getting attention non-stop since we arrived.
On Sunday night, we enjoyed a family dinner that Musab prepared for everyone! And had a great time chatting and getting reacquainted with family that we have not seen for at least a year, or more.

Our Fun Trip to Rockford
Last Friday we went up to Rockford for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa Hassman. We went to Nolan's great Aunt and Uncle's house Joyce and Pat for lunch. Then we headed for a very special visit with Pat's airplane. Nolan is super into airplanes, and he was excited to see a plane up close. He even got to sit in the plane and mess with the controls! Needless to say our little boy was extremely HAPPY!
We then got to ride on a boat on the Rock River, this was also very special for Nolan. He thought it was neat traveling on the water and by all the boats passing by.

Nolan enjoyed playing on a trolley car along the Rock River!
