Our Little Golfer

What would summer be without a little golf?  Nolan is taking after his daddy, and he enjoys hitting golf balls.  He loves going to the driving range with Todd.  I think we have a future golfer on our hands.

Dupage Children's Museum

Nolan and Avery got to spend the day with their cousin Kaylee, and Grandma and Grandpa Hassman, while I was able to catch a long bike ride(56 miles) in Racine with friends in preparation for my 1/2 ironman.   The grandparents took the kids to the Dupage Children's Museum for the day, which by the looks of the pictures---the kids had a BLAST!  Here are a few snapshots from their adventure.

Happy 4th of July

The 4th was a weekend celebration this year!  Every year it becomes more fun as they both get older and can enjoy it more. We enjoyed the fireworks, parade, and an Inverness Park District Party.

Botanical Gardens

Nolan, Avery, and Kaylee enjoyed a trip to the Botanical Gardens in Highland Park, IL with their grandma and grandpa Hassman!  It was a 90 + degree day, but that didn't stop them from enjoying the gardens, train exhibit, and butterfly exhibit.

Sprinkler Fun!

It was so warm in Chicago in the early part of the summer that we were able to enjoy lots of water fun! We played in the backyard with the sprinkler, and then we took a trip to a sprinkle park with one of my friends.  Avery has no fear, she was running around the sprinkler and she was playing with everything at the sprinkle park--getting herself completely soaked.  It was fun to watch her get splashed and then just giggle!  Nolan really enjoyed the big water guns at the park.
