It is these simple moments together that I truly cherish. I love being a mommy, and I love seeing that adorable SMILE. And I absolutely LOVE every little bit about my Nolan!

Lake Geneva Fun
I had a YMCA triathlon party today in Lake Geneva, WI. And Nolan came along for the FUN! Since I was up in Lake Geneva, I decided to take a detour before heading back home, and let Nolan play in the sand. And of course, Nolan was super excited to get his feet WET! Here are a few pictures from our outing. I really tried to keep him from getting totally wet. But when he says, "Mommy, I soaked" as he is giggling!--I just have to laugh and let him enjoy.
It is these simple moments together that I truly cherish. I love being a mommy, and I love seeing that adorable SMILE. And I absolutely LOVE every little bit about my Nolan!

Little Feet
LITTLE FEET
Two little feet, ten little toes,
Leave their impressions today.
Feet that can wear little shoes,
And feet that love to run, jump and play.
Feet with boundless amounts of energy, that never tire.
Always in motion, exploring new things.
Two little feet, too little time,
These feet just love to go, go, GO!
Wading in the water or jumping around.
Two little feet, one little child
Will soon go there own way,
to accomplish great things.
But for today these feet just play in the sand.

Let the Adventure Begin! Nolan's First Day of Preschool!
We are headed onto bigger and better things! It seems as a parent, every time you get comfortable--or feel like you have the routine down, something new crops up! Well, today's new adventure is all about Nolan. We have headed off to preschool at Holy Family. Nolan's teacher is Mrs. G, which excites him so--since G seems to be his favorite LETTER. This morning as we headed out the door with our Cars backpack, and of course Nemo, he was excited to go and see Mrs. G! Which made me happy that he was looking forward to his new adventure.
Nolan's Cubby
We got to class and he got to place his name on the felt board
The Bulletin Board with all the 2 year olds
Working with Mrs. G
Playing with his classmate Sophia
Nolan and Mrs. S(who he likes to call Mrs. H--his other favorite letter!)
Overall, it was a great morning! I was able to stay outside of the room most of the morning, and he didn't cry! I think next week he is going to be ready to do this all by himself, but am I ready for my little man to be going off into this world without me at his side!!!
Nolan's Off To Preschool!
I cannot believe Nolan is going off to preschool. I have signed him up for one day a week. Part of me can't believe I am sending my two year old(baby) off to school. It is obvious that my precious boy, is no longer a baby. He reminds me of this on a daily basis! It is just so hard to believe that just yesterday he was born, and now he has grown from an infant to this "little being." I have been with him every step of the way, we have laughed, we have played, we have loved, and we have learned together. His personality is contagious, and he is quite the character, he has his likes and dislikes, and he has energy and curiosity that will lead him to great things! And I of course just love him to pieces. And so I want the best for him, afterall what parent doesn't.
But that doesn't make it any easier to send him to preschool at the age of two. I had lots of "ifs," will my child be ready, can he leave my side and enjoy and learn, is he really old enough to be somewhat independent, but then I listen to my friends, and I realize that preschool is the new kindergarten, and kindergarten is the new 1st grade. Our schools are already incorporating a foreign language into the preschool curriculum! So it became no question on whether to send him to school, and I think my little man is ready, but AM I? I still have lots of "ifs," and I know that the first few times are going to be quite a challenge. For both me letting go of my baby, and for him taking his first steps at being independent. But I have no doubt that my little man will thrive.
So to my little man, "You are about to embark on a great adventure, and I can't wait to hear all about it, but mommy is going to miss you while you are at school! I Love You!"

My NEMO, My COMPANION!
I drag you, sometimes lose you, and love to toss you,
And you stick by my side.
I wrestle with you, poke at you, drop you, and make quite a mess of you,
And you stick by my side.
I hug you, kiss you, fix you, talk to you, and LOVE you,
I PLAY with you.
You are my pal, my buddy, my friend,
And you stick by my side.
You provide me security and comfort,
My Nemo, my BEST FRIEND!
